Kadyrov reportedly in a coma

Kadyrov reportedly in a coma

Ukrainian military intelligence (GUR) confirms reports that Chechen leader Kadyrov is in coma.

Ramzan Kadyrov is the son of former Chechen President Akhmad Kadyrov, who switched sides in the Second Chechen War by offering his service to Vladimir Putin's administration in Russia and became Chechen president in 2003. Akhmad Kadyrov was assassinated in May 2004.

According to intelligence reports, the 46-year-old is now in a coma, and is said to have been flown to Moscow to receive more extensive care. He was reportedly brought back to Chechnya.

His health has always been unconfirmed or confirmable, rumors about Kadyrov’s health have been circulating for months. A year ago the former Chechen deputy prime minister, Akhmad Zakayevhe told the German newspaper Bild that the Kremlin ally was suffering from a serious illness ai kidneys. Kadyrov himself has repeatedly tried to quell rumors about his ill health. Last March he confessed to his closest confidants that he was not ill but only unusually swollen. “People attribute different illnesses to me: sometimes I have kidney problems, sometimes liver problems“, he would have said.

As of right now these Coma reports are coming from Ukrainian Intelligence only and have yet to be confirmed by other World agencies.
