Sudan's Rapid Support Forces Chief, Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, expressed the RSF's willingness for an 'immediate' and 'unconditional' cease-fire with the Sudanese army amid the ongoing nine-month conflict. Hamedti, as Dagalo is known, affirmed the RSF's dedication to ending the war, describing the current situation as the 'worst crisis' in the northeast African nation's history.
The conflict in Sudan began on April 15, leading to over 7.2 million people being displaced, according to the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
