The U.S. Coast Guard offloaded over $96 million worth of illegal narcotics interdicted in the Caribbean Sea.
On Monday, the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Forward offloaded more than 7,302 pounds of cocaine, with an estimated street value of approximately $96 million, in Port Everglades.
The interdiction of the illegal drugs occurred in international waters of the Caribbean Sea during three separate cases. The operations involved collaboration between Coast Guard crews and interagency and international partners.
