Mali continues to face one of the most serious security crises in the Sahel, with armed group attacks, civilian casualties, and economic disruption weighing heavily on the country. Violence in several regions has made daily life more dangerous, while attacks on transport routes and fuel convoys have added pressure to an already strained humanitarian and economic situation. The conflict also remains part of a wider regional instability problem that has affected neighboring states across the Sahel.
