Bloomington, Minnesota — Local police announced the arrest of a federal contractor during a multi-day operation targeting prostitution and related crimes earlier this month. Authorities reported that the man, whose name has not been publicly released, performed background checks for several federal agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
According to Bloomington police, the operation began on February 4 and led to 30 arrests. Investigators stated that the suspect is employed by a Department of Defense-linked program responsible for verifying security clearances for federal personnel.
Law enforcement officials said that most of those detained face gross misdemeanor charges. Two individuals may face felony counts due to previous offenses. Police emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing.
